Creative Nonfiction

Frigg publishes flash-length and longer-length creative nonfiction. The submissions deadline for the Insanity Issue is early December. We are aiming to get the issue online in January 2027.

For longer-length creative nonfiction pieces, the word count ranges from 1,200 to 4,000. Longer pieces are published as single works.

We also publish creative nonfiction flash-length works (up to 1,000 words). Please submit one, two, or three flash fiction pieces in one file. We might choose one flash, or two, or all three.

We accept simultaneous submissions. Please let us know if all or part of the submission has been accepted elsewhere. If one or more works from the submission are accepted elsewhere, please notify us.

We do not accept work that appears (or is forthcoming) in another online venue. However, we do accept work that appears only in print, or has appeared in an online venue that is defunct and no longer maintains an online presence (including archived material).  We also accept material that has been posted in an online workshop site or group.

This issue will be on a faster track than usual, so we'll try to respond within two weeks. Feel free to contact us at any time to ask about the status of your submission.
